Zander Santi featured on Outdoors Channel

The Santi family has a deep and committed interest to the outdoors and in philanthropic organizations. So when we were asked to participate in a hunt benefitting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, we immediately said yes. As luck would have it, my sons, John David and Zander had the opportunity to hunt with the world’s best turkey callers on the best farms in the midsouth, all the while helping a great cause – the fight against cancer. Zander hunted with Mr. McKnight of Knight & Hale Game Calls. The hunt has been aired on the Outdoor Channel and is part of Knight & Hale’s Spring Turkey Series 13. The DVD can be purchased at most any retailer where hunting videos are sold.

Bookstore and restaurant share Santi name and mission

As I was surfing the web one day I decided to Google the name Santi. I came across two particular websites that were of personal interest to me. The first website was for a book store in British Columbia called Santi Books. The store is run by two individuals whose focus is on providing positive, enlightening and educational material to help individuals in their own personal growth. I immediately thought to myself, this is exactly the type of bookstore I would envision building! It’s a great resource for finding a large collection of books centered on growth, development & spirituality all in one place.

The second website was for an Italian restaurant in the Sonoma County Wine Valley called Taverna Santi. I found the name of this restaurant to be especially ironic – my great-grandfather’s name was Angelo Taverna! When I searched through the site, I discovered that this restaurant is committed to honoring Italian tradition by providing quality foods and wine in an atmosphere where guests are honored and respected. It’s kind of strange how there seems to be a link between inherited consciousness as well as physical DNA.
