Prior to founding the Santi Company, John extended the presence of the Stanford Group Company as its first Managing Director in Memphis. Credited with introducing Stanford Group to the open architecture platform as witnessed per its investment in O.F.N. (Open Finance Network), John was instrumental in developing Stanford’s very successful global community investment strategy, highlighted by its partnership with St .Jude Children’s Research Hospital. While influencing Stanford’s strategic direction and community investment strategy, John brought approximately $30M in business ventures to the Stanford Group Company merchant banking unit, and delivered comprehensive wealth management strategies to high net-worth individuals, corporate executives, and entrepreneurs.

Prior to teaming up with Santi Company, John Daniel raised over $100 million and advised on approximately $500 million in investment banking transactions for start-up, development stage and middle market private and public companies in diverse industries. Over the past decade, he held senior executive management leadership positions at boutique NASD investment banks, Bristol Investment Group, and Cruttenden, Roth. Prior to that, he was co-CEO at his own corporate development advisory firm, Chester, Daniel and Co. in New York after a successful career on Wall Street where he worked for Oppenheimer and Co., Wertheim and Co, and Oscar Gruss and Co. John Daniel is associated with The Moran Group of Houston. His career emphasis and current focus at Starlight Investments is formulating and implementing creative, strategic and tactical plans that help companies that are typically underserved by larger investment banking and consulting firms achieve financial and strategic health by improving strategies, organizations, operations and financing. John holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
